The Twenty Four Hour Poem is first and foremost a documentation of practice from solstice to solstice. This is a practice in understanding how the art practice is inseparable from the life practice. Art is a necessity. It is also a privilege, to be lucky enough to work only one job outside of my art practice, and being a childless adult has made me consider balance - my struggle with it and the struggle others who are balancing more face.

While this documentation is taking place in spreadsheets and journals, this project will accompany the entirety of my creative output this year. Two large-scale works will be unveiled as this project progresses, and I suspect this will continue to take and change form through out its duration.
